The latest financing option for artists, authors, bands, filmmakers and other creators has been the idea of crowd-funding. Crowdfunding is similar to crowdsourcing in that the efforts of many like-minded people can be combined through websites like Pledgie.com to accomplish something that would otherwise be impossible.
If there has been a crowd funding effort for a graphic novel we are not aware of it here. It is possible that there may have been one so we have decided to launch the world's first ZOMBIE-FUNDED independent comic with an eye toward releasing an original graphic novel and eventually an animated feature if the story is well received.
Zombie Funding Our Future
The way that Stage One of our zombiefunding process works is simple:
* Donate $20 and you'll be an official Chaos Generation Zombie
* Donate $50 and we'll list you on the site as a Zombie Sponsor
* Donate $100 and we'll create your Zombie likeness in the comic (requires signed release form) from your high quality photo file. Your character will be identified in an email before your appearance in print so you can tell all your friends.
Each level of donation will receive a print copy of our first issue. We'll even give you the option of an autographed copy or a standard one. Our first issue will be limited to an initial press run of 10,000 copies. This ensures that the first edition will be incredibly rare, so when the rest of the universe discovers the fantastic world of Chaos Generation Studio's Cyborgs versus Zombies you'll be sitting pretty.
